#1 I am certain that my variable speed head is failing. It sounds like the proverbial box of bolts in a washing machine on a spin cycle in the high gear and higher speeds, and in low gear, I can't run above 200 RPM since the noise is so loud that it stops conversation in the shop (tho' the guy diving for cover was a little over the top!).
